The McMicken College of Arts & Sciences is UC's largest and most diverse college, boasting 24 departments and academic centers, more than 60 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, a growing number of interdisciplinary programs, such as Neuroscience, and more than 300 full-time faculty members. Faculty Excellence. Faculty at a Top 25 Research University are expected to perform. And do they ever. McMicken faculty publish more than 600 books, chapters and articles each year and bring in approximately $9 million in external funding. Their scholarly activity doesn’t keep them locked up in their labs and offices though. McMicken faculty are chosen for prestigious teaching awards every year.

Going beyond the classroom to conduct research, participate in an internship, live in the language immersion house or study abroad are just a few of the ways McMicken students gain real world experience.
