Composed by Henry Fillmore in 1924, this piece was dedicated to one of Cincinnati’s outstanding civic leaders, Charles P. Taft, brother of one-time U.S. President William Howard Taft. Charles P. Taft served in the U.S. House of Representatives and was owner and editor of the “Cincinnati Times-Star” newspaper.
