Uptown Campus East

UC's College of Nursing is in Procter Hall, part of the UC Uptown Campus East and the Academic Health Center.

Established in 1889, the college was one of the first schools in the U.S. to offer a bachelor's degree in nursing.

In 2002, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited the College of Nursing for a ten-year period. With this approval, the College has the distinction of being continuously accredited for 71 years.

UC's College of Nursing is ranked in the top ten percent of U.S. nursing schools by US News and World Report.

In addition to intensive classroom training, UC nursing students gain experience in many different clinical settings throughout the Greater Cincinnati region, including hospitals, industry, clinics, community agencies and family settings. An education abroad program includes opportunities to work in Central America.

Dean Greer Glazer, PhD, was named one of Ohio’s Most Powerful and Influential Women by the National Diversity Council in 2013. She was also selected to lead a national Urban Universities for HEALTH study on universities’ use of holistic review in the admissions process for health professions. Learn more here.
