UC, XU Students Walk Together for a Just Community

University of Cincinnati and Xavier University students participated together in the BRIDGES for a Just Community Walk on Saturday, Oct. 27. Students from both schools wore Crosstown Classic T-shirts showing both the Bearcats and the Musketeers logos as the two universities get ready for their men’s basketball teams to meet on Dec. 19th at U.S. Bank Arena downtown. Student Government President Lane Hart and XU graduate student Joseph Sarvo coordinated the students walking.

The 45-minute walk started at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and crossed over the Ohio River into Kentucky before ending at the starting point. The walk is an annual event to raise awareness of the diversity of ethnicities, races, cultures and religions that make up the Cincinnati community.
