UC alumna Asha Daniels, DAAP '13, finished in third place in the finale of Lifetime's "Under the Gunn."
Daniels was selected as one of four finalists is the fashion design competition hosted by "Project Runway" mentor Tim Gunn. Over 13 episodes, three mentors, all former "Project Runway" contestants, managed a team of designers who created a look to present before the judges. The show was filmed at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles in November and December, 2013.
The finale aired April 10. Each contestant was given three days and $2,500 to create a five-piece collection that exhibited their design aesthetic. Oscar Garcia-Lopez won the $100,000 grand prize, plus a 2014 Lexus, a fashion magazine spread and an inspirational trip to Paris.
