Responding to tragedy

This issue of UC Magazine was nearly finished and headed to the printer when former UC Police Officer Ray Tensing was involved in the tragic deadly shooting of Samuel DuBose following a traffic stop a mile off campus on July 19. Ten days later, Tensing was arrested on murder charges, and the world watched the shocking body-camera video of the shooting. These students gathered near campus that evening for a peaceful protest.
