CINCINNATI POST MARCH

Cincinnati’s Frank Simon achieved national recognition as one of America’s great bandsmen while he served as conductor of the Amrco Band, of nearby Middletown, Ohio. He was also acclaimed as an outstanding cornet virtuoso and teacher, as well as a leading composer of challenging marches for America’s bands. Although not so familiar as some of his other works, his CINCINNATI POST MARCH is one of his best concert marches. It was written in 1931 and was dedicated to the “Editor, Manager and Staff” of the old Cincinnati Post, once a leading newspaper in the city.
